 Leaders of the Oakland metropolis Council instructed the head of major League Baseball Friday in a letter that they are inclined to work with the A’s baseball team to retain it from moving out of the city.

Oakland currently lost both its national football League franchise the Oakland Raider’s to Las Vegas and the Golden State Warriors to San Francisco.

The letter comes just days after MLB told the Oakland A’s to seek a different city to play whereas pursuing a waterfront park in Oakland.

“The Oakland metropolis Council is committed to negotiating in respectable faith for a robust future for the A’s in Oakland, and we invite the A’s and MLB to do the same by using agreeing now not to are searching for relocation while the A’s finished the (stadium on the Charles P. Council leaders requested MLB to verify its intentions.
